Summer Is For Raving

Today Is The Day! EDC Day 1
In less than twelve hours, Insomniac will be opening its gates and letting thousands of EDM fanatics pour into the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. From the moment you arrive, you will be hearing this summer's biggest Electronic hits, seeing DJ's walking through crowds of their fans, and (hopefully) dancing harder than you've ever danced before. However the most important thing you can do for the the next three days is BE SAFE! There are a few things about EDC Vegas that you should know to stay safe and make the best of your EDC experience.
1. STAY COOL AND HYDRATED!
Everyone is going to be in a huge sweaty crowd at some point, but know your limits! Be sure to drink alot of water, and if you feel like you need to sit down, DO IT! The music is going to be loud enough to hear outside of the crowd, and it's better to be safe than sorry. I've watched people collapse from heat exhaustion, and it was the cause of several hospitalizations at EDC Dallas this year. So keep cool!
2. KNOW YOUR RAVE
Electric Daisy Carnival is not only in a new location this year, but also remaining open till 6am. Be sure to familiarize yourself with the EDC map. IF you want to stay throughout the whole event, PLAN ON IT! Staying up dancing until the sun rises can take alot out of you. Try to get as much rest as possible before you head out to your weekend of raving because it's going to take alot out of you.
3. HAVE FUN!
While there are always risks in having such a massive event, EDC was made for fun! There are hundreds of DJ's and thousands of people who all flew into Vegas for this incredible event, and from a personal opinion, EDC is one of the more fun times I've ever had. There is nothing better than dancing your heart out at the main stage, finding lost friends in an innumerable crowd, and making your way to the front rail of the Coliseum and looking back at the thousands of people behind you and knowing everyone you can see is there for the same reason!
So to everybody already getting your outfits together to be the first ravers into EDC this summer, be safe and have an amazing time!

Let The Summer Begin!
For those of us living in the northern hemisphere, today is the first official day of summer. If you aren't already, go outside, blast some music, and start dancing. You're gonna need the practice. Only 3 days left until EDC VEGAS!
The 15th Annual Electric Daisy Carnival will be celebrating its decade and a half birthday nearly 300 miles from its residence for the last three years, Los Angeles, CA. Also new to the festival will be the Heineken Domes stage, expanding on EDC's previous 5 stage setup. And as the 24th of June approaches, DJs producers, and EDM enthusiasts from around the world are flying into Nevada's entertainment capital for this weekend's festivities.
To keep you entertained, here are a few tunes from some more DJs spinning at EDC Vegas.
Murakami (Album Version) - Tritonal
Straight off their first artist album, Tritonal's Texas duo brings a non-vocal Trance tune in the likeness of Armin van Buuren and Ferry Corsten's collaboration Minack. However, if these two were pitted against each other in a contest, I'd have to give it to Tritonal
Move It 2 The Drum (Original Mix) - Hardwell & Chuckie
A Tech Housey collaboration from two of EDC Vegas's DJs, Move It 2 The Drum may be a little bit of an older track, but with its popularity I wouldn't be surprised if it ended up in both of their sets, one remix or another.
Koko (Original Mix) - Sander Van Doorn
Sander Van Doorn is no small name in the EDM world, and Koko is no small track. Its high flute melody combined with a great build has made its mark, enjoying several remixes, as well as being in a fantastic mashup by First State.
White Noise/Red Meat (Original Mix) - Dada Life
Typical Dada Life, pounding synths and fantastic builds. This song is excellent. Although it has been in their set since at least New Years Eve when I heard it at Together As One, but its a huge banger and I doubt they'll be taking it out anytime soon.
Save the World (Alesso Remix) - Swedish House Mafia ft John Martin
Remember last summer when SHM's hit One and the Congorock remix was present in nearly every set you heard? Well expect to hear Save the World or the Alesso remix if you ever see any house or progressive house shows this summer.

The next seven days entail the preparation and execution of North America's largest Electronic Music festival, Electric Daisy Carnival. After making pit stops in Orlando, Colorado, and Dallas, EDC is finally headed to its final US destination...

For the next week, Summer Is For Raving will be focused on the scene, the artists, and the people that make EDC the most largely attended festival in America. To help get all you Ravers prepared, here are a few hits from some of EDC Las Vegas's biggest names that you're almost guaranteed to hear.
